Human Resources Director, Europe
Nigel Godbolt joined Ryder in 1996 and was appointed Human Resources Director, Europe in 2004. He is responsible for the strategic planning of all Human Resource Activities including Learning and Development, Health & Safety, Environment and Security as well as Internal Communication throughout the European business.
Nigel started his career as an Army Officer leaving in 1984 to pursue a civilian career in Human Resources. He joined Swift Transport as a Training Manager in 1987 and has held a number of Human Resources management positions with transport companies including Christian Salvesen and Hays before joining Ryder.
Nigel is a keen sportsman and charity fundraiser. He recently led Team Deliverance to third place in the Scott Dunn Polar Challenge, reaching the magnetic North Pole in 11 days 22 hours and 40 minutes, which raised over £6,000 for the charity Diabetes UK.
Nigel is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. |
