Ryder appoints Head of Engineering Services
Ryder Europe, a leading provider of Fleet Management Solutions which include rental vehicles, contract hire packages, maintenance and drivers, has today announced the appointment of Nigel Carr as Head of Engineering Services.
.
Carr will have overall responsibility for the specific delivery of maintenance and service levels for Ryder’s customers through its extensive third party FleetCare dealer network of 349 approved service locations. He will also be responsible for Ryder’s 24/7 national breakdown service and outsourced services including supplier suitability and quality.
Commenting on the appointment, Steve Mulley, Director, Engineering and Maintenance, Ryder Europe said, “We operate in fiercely competitive national, regional and local markets and this appointment will enable us to further strengthen our engineering and maintenance service for our customers.
Carr originally joined Ryder in 1997 as Engineering Manager, leaving in 2003 to continue in the aircraft industry where he held a number of senior positions including Operations Director and Deputy Chief Executive of Aircraft Maintenance Support Services Ltd. Carr is a member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.
