Compliance Management

Have a safe trip
If your business operates goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, you will already be aware of the procedures you need to have in place to hold a valid Operator’s Licence.
The Traffic Commissioner must be satisfied your business is compliant in the following areas:
- The rules on drivers’ hours and tachographs are observed and proper records kept
- Vehicles and trailers are not overloaded
- Vehicles will operate within speed limits
- Vehicles and trailers are kept fit and serviceable
- Any defects, or symptoms of defects that could prevent the safe operation of a vehicle are reported and recorded
- Records are kept of all driver reports, inspections, maintenance and repairs for a period of 15 months
Meeting your obligations for compliance can be a headache, especially if transportation or haulage is not your core business. Our O’Licence Consultancy measurably reduces the risk of non-compliance.
Safety is at the heart of all we do. We are at the forefront of helping shape best practice and policy with representation on committees such as the National Freight Council.
“Ryder’s advice ensures that we have all necessary procedures in place. As a rapidly growing business with an expanding fleet, it is essential that we remain on top of all aspects of transport legislation at all times. Ryder’s guidance has helped us achieve this."
