company, today announced the appointment of Sara Garvie as Finance Director UK FMS
responsible for commercial vehicles and fleet management solutions.
Sara is responsible for all aspects of finance including processing, asset management, pricing
as well as risk management. She heads up a team of 73 shared between locations in
Dukinfield, Feltham and Devizes.
Sara has been with Ryder for nine years, most recently as Corporate Development Manager
Europe. Prior to Ryder she worked in industries as diverse as oil exploration and retailing. She
was Strategic Planning Manager at Oddbins, and also held planning and development roles at
Geest, Booker and BP.
“My task will be to build on the quality and timely provision of financial information to support
the business effectively and ensure the integrity of information provided to the customer,” said
Sara Garvie.
Sara’s promotion follows the recent appointment of David Hunt, formerly Finance Director
Ryder Europe, as Managing Director UK FMS,
