About us
Our Health & Safety Commitment

Looking after our key assets

Our people are our business. The welfare of our people is one of our core beliefs. After all, a happy workforce is an effective workforce; and employees who are satisfied, fulfilled and feel valued within the company can offer a better service to our customers.

Everyone at Ryder understands their responsibility to improve our Health & Safety standards by:
  • Maintaining the best possible working environment
  • Promoting a culture where Occupational Health & Safety is recognised as central to the success of our business
  • Demonstrating a commitment to reducing risks, in line with sound business practices and procedures
  • Measuring, monitoring and reviewing performance to make sure we improve our standards every year

Ryder Driver Development Programme

In conjunction with The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), we have developed a programme for all members of staff who drive during the course of their work, with over 900 employees assessed each year. The effectiveness of our collision and injury reduction programmes has been recognised by a RoSPA Silver Award for Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR), and multiple Bronze Awards for our Regional Divisions.
